Panel and service upgrades
Still on a 60 or 100 amp panel, or an old fuse box? We upgrade to 100 or 200 amp service and coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with NS Power. Before we quote, we do a load calculation, so you only pay for the upgrade you actually need.

Level 2 chargers in garages and driveways. We do a load calculation first, so you know whether your panel can take it or whether a load management device will do the job for less.

Generator hookups
Interlock kits and transfer switches, so a portable generator can safely run your furnace, fridge and well pump during an outage.
No back-feeding through the dryer plug

Heat pump wiring
The dedicated circuit and disconnect your heat pump needs, done to code and inspected. We work alongside your heat pump installer; we do the electrical, they supply and install the unit.

A lot of Halifax houses were wired long before heat pumps, induction ranges and electric cars. Each of those wants its own 240-volt circuit, and on a 100 amp panel that adds up fast.
Before we quote a new panel, we do a load calculation. Sometimes a load management device lets a charger share the capacity you already have, for a lot less than a service upgrade.
A Level 2 EV charger usually needs a dedicated 40 to 60 amp circuit on its own.
